Teaching Others is based on 2 Timothy 2: 1-2. Discipleship is a key part of how God works in our lives to mature us. We ask you to pray for the Japanese people living in South America and throughout the world.

Sorocaba, Brazil... More English Students.... The Need for Long Term Partners ....
If pictures could talk that could tell us so many stories. This past month I had the privilege to travel to Brazil and meet with many Nikkei church leaders.
One thing I learned form talking to these leaders is that many of them are in Brazil and were raised in Christian homes because their parents were asked to renounce Christianity in Japan or leave their home. Many of these Christians leaders parents left Japan and moved to Brazil. About 1% of the Brazilian Nikkei are reached for Christ. This is a small number but much larger than most Nikkei populations.
We need churches to partner with us in this ministry.
Some of the obvious ways would be sports ministry such as Baseball, English VBS. We need to create bridges of relationships into this people group. One of our key ministries has been through English classes that have English Bible studies. We have built many relationships and shared the Gospel by teaching English. I think Business Seminars, Evangelism and Teaching Events, and Counselling ministries might round out our top five needs.
We will be traveling to Paraguay this month to meet with potential ministry partners and research the ministry opportunities in this country.
In May we will be traveling to Bolivia to coordinate a Evangelism and Discipleship Training Event with the Evangelical Churches of Riberalta.
Please pray for these needs... and please pray about a long term commitment to the Nikkei.. We need partner churches to help us...
We will be in Georgia in June for 7 months to prepare for our move to Japan... If you are interested in discussing or learning more about the Nikkei ministry please let me know..
Blessings and Peace,
Tim and Joy
